Nun hatte ich mir als Neujahrs-Vorsatz vorgenommen, jeden Tag eine Skizze zu fertigen (und wenn es auch nur eine kurze Arbeit oder gar eine - noch kürzere - Blindzeichnung ist). Und ich kann ehrlich sagen, dass ich jetzt, zur Jahresmitte hin, in einem richtig dicken Sommerloch stecke. Wo mir ganz, ganz oft die Motivation fehlt und ich das Skizzieren bis zum späten Arbeit hinausschiebe. Was dann dabei herauskommt, ist nicht wirklich zeigenswert. Heiße Temperaturen draußen tun noch ihr übriges und ich habe einfach mal keine Lust gehabt. Es hält noch ein klein wenig an, das Motivationstief, aber ich bin optimistisch, dass es besser wird ;) Hier sind zwei Skizzen, ausgewählt aus den letzten beiden Wochen; zum einen "Füße hoch bei der Sommerhitze" und: "Sohn mit gequetschtem Daumen", beides kurze Skizzen, maximal 10 Minuten jeweils.
Well, I made this New Year's Resolution: finishing one sketch every single day (even if it is just a quick sketch or a blind contour drawing which takes about one minute only). And I really have to admit that now - in the middle of the year - I have to face a real summer slump. With a big, big lack of motivation and the bad habit to procrastinate until late at night.
The results are not really worth showing. Furthermore, hot temperatures outside do not encourage me to sketch at all and I absolutely do not feel like sketching. Unfortunately, I still feel this lack of fun and motivation - nevertheless I think that it soon will be over. At least I hope so :)
Here are two sketches from the past two weeks; "feet up in the summer heat" and "son with bruised thumb", both short sketches, about 10 minutes each.
